  Great; look forward to having that brochure lying around the house by my husband for me to see, like by reading that I will suddenly forget all the reasons I left!

  My husband was inactive until last year, it took two visits from an elder to get him back to meetings.

  i believe that the religion will remain stagnant due to their achilles heel, the kids, the children, that next generation.. most of them really don't wa t to be in the religion.

  the parents may have tried everything within their power to make the kids love jehovah but we all know you can't force someone to love you and you can't make a grown person stay in a relationship or situation if they really don't want to be there..

  I did a good job with my children, all five are out. In fact it was their critical thinking that convinced me who had many doubts over the years to leave once and for all.

  They all believe in evolution (which I still can't grasp) as opposed to their father who gets angry with them when they argue with him, I am and have always been open-minded and willing to really listen to other's opinions. None of them believe in God and I actually envy them that they are so sure about this because I am still not sure about this (indoctrination runs deep). I do know for sure though that the witnesses are NOT God's chosen organization and I don't believe that any are.

  I never wanted to die so wasn't I 'lucky' that my mum became a witness so I never would. Except we didn't believe in luck did we. Didn't we all feel so smug that we were the only people on the earth who were not going to die, although I never liked thinking about what we had to go through to get to that point; great tribulation, persecution, Armageddon, and everyone else on the planet being killed so that we could live! I was never happy about any of that.

  I never wanted to get old and believed I never would. I left school at 15 got a job, didn't pay into a pension (would never need it) better to have the money then. I am now much older than I ever thought I would be and have believed for a number of years now that I am definitely going to die. I don't really know exactly when I came to that realisation because it took years of internal wrestling for me to come to terms that I wasn't 'in the truth' and that everything I had believed was false. I don't believe that I was blind, or stupid, none of us were. We were brainwashed, indoctrinated.

  Yes I am going to die and there is nothing I can do about it. I am resigned to this, unlike a lot of witnesses I know who still believe they are not! I know a few who have categorically stated "I have no intention of dying", one said this to her grandson. I feel he will one day be disappointed.

  I wonder is it better to believe you are going to die and accept it or believe you are not and have all your dreams dashed when you realise you are.

  i'm confused.

  reading the day's text for yesterday, they talk about jesus coming and that it is a future time after the great tribulation.

  i thought they have always said he came in 1914 and earlier at other times (russell).. .

  Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.—Matt. 24:46.

  In the part of his prophecy that is recorded at Matthew 24:29–25:46, Jesus focuses primarily on what will happen during these last days and during the coming great tribulation. There, Jesus makes eight references to his “coming,” or arrival. Regarding the great tribulation, he states: “They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds.” “You do not know on what day your Lord iscoming.” “At an hour that you do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.”And in his parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus states: “The Son of manarrives in his glory.” (Matt. 24:30, 42, 44; 25:31) Each of these four references applies to Christ’s future coming as Judge.   WHY DO ONLY A FEW START TO QUESTION DOCTRINE CHANGES AND NOT EVERYONE?

  there are many on here who state specific changes in wt publications have caused them to start questioning (understandably you would think), and yet the majority don't.

  why is it only a few individuals that do this?

  curious as to what others think about this.

  There are many on here who state specific changes in WT publications have caused them to start questioning (understandably you would think), and yet the majority don't. Why is it only a few individuals that do this? Curious as to what others think about this. I find myself really frustrated that my family can't see what I saw years ago. If I hadn't questioned years ago I definitely would have now because there are so many changes now. They just can't see, even when I point things out to them.

  My husband believes that anyone leaving does so because they can't live up to it not because they have stopped believing! He knows of course that I don't believe it but he can't come to terms with that. My mum and sisters believe it is because of my husband who has never been a good witness, they think he stumbled me. I don't know what anyone else thinks and don't really care.
